Suzanne Shaw Wins Dancing on Ice 2008

British actress Suzanne Shaw has won Dancing on Ice 2008, beating bookies favourite Chris Fountain.

Shaw, 26, who won Celebrity Mum of the Year last month, got a perfect clean sweep of sixes for both of her performances, one which she was in the air, and the other in which she performed her favourite from the series.

After beating out Zarrah Abrahams, Shaw, along with her partner Matt Evers, competed against Chris Fountain and his partner Frankie Poultne, performing their version of the Bolero, in which Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean achieved a clean sweep of sixes in the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Last week, singer Gareth Gates left the show after being beaten in the skate-off by Zaraah Abrahams. The final scores were:

1) Suzanne Shaw and Matt Evers

2) Chris Fountain and Frankie Poultney

3) Zaraah Abrahams and Fred Palasack

Louis Walsh Critcises Rock Rivals

Talent show judge Louis Walsh has critised new ITV drama Rock Rivals, saying that they do not capture the tension between drama on the show.

Walsh, 55,  has also said that there was hardly any research put into the show, and that they should have called the X Factor team.

“There’s far more drama on The X Factor in any week than there’s likely to be in this whole series. I was so excited when I sat down to watch it. I expected it to be great. I had spent a whole day on set doing a cameo and they cut me. I was annoyed, but now I’ve seen it I’m glad that I ended up on the cutting room floor. It could have been so funny and real but it isn’t. With the real thing you have more action, more drama and a lot more talent. They didn’t capture the tension and the drama on the show between the judges and the contestants – especially the judges.” Walsh told The Mirror

Walsh has manages and has managed groups such as Westlife and Girls Aloud and artists such as Shayne Ward.
